We're down to our final matchup in fantasy football and it looks like whoever wins will get their beer without battling Dru in a rock, paper, scissors face-off. (Much to his dismay.) Welp, you just can't beat an episode where we spill beer all over our table in the first 90 seconds of the show, can you? Apparently we just forgot how to do our podcast at all this week. Nonetheless, we're going down the rabbit hole of moonshining, murder, and monkeys. We pause to appreciate the savvy of Redd-Double-D and his sidekick Bud who try to outsmart the police with a hideout that's mere feet from the precinct's front door. And don't forget about some of America's firsts that happened right here in Concord; we'll cover those too. (Since the education system in the northeast doesn't seem to recall these events...) Another week, another episode all about NoDa...but don't worry, we've got some ideas to help break up the constant repetition of this one part of town. Until then, enjoy all the drama that comes with forming a worker's union, a protest turned riot, mid-prohibition drunkenness (by a teenager on a Monday, no less), rumors of murder, and 80-hour work days? Yikes. And let's not leave out the debate of who shot first, slingshot vandalism, and a single rope to hold back two thousand people. Seems legit. We'll also explore an ever-changing piece of the NoDa landscape through flowers that expel demons, X-rated films, and bands that are named after days of the week. There's more than enough character here to make up for the lack of a storyline; don't you think?

How are we already two-thirds through our second season? Time sure does fly, I mean, college basketball is back, fantasy football is on the downslope, and Dru turns 30 this week...what?! Meanwhile, we're hopping back to Uptown for a deeper look into those statues on all four corners of Trade and Tryon, and the haunted Dunhill hotel. We are back and better than ever! Well...we're definitely back; 'better' is entirely a matter of opinion. I mean, when Dru is actively defending a non-conspiracy, there has to be something out of place. Amiright? Add a dash of conspiracy, tragedy, and the supernatural to wrap up this not-all-that-spooky episode!
