This week we are joined by Javier Fernandez, a fellow 20 something who wanted to share his journey overcoming toxic masculinity in his Latinx family, as well as his growth in recognizing women's struggles and being an ally. He gets into his personal experiences growing up with different father figures, and we even get into the topic of Roe v Wade. I felt so enlightened hearing about his perspective growing up religious but also going through the growth we all get into during our college years. Another solo episode this week! I wanted to take a break from all the job searching to sit down with a glass of wine and chat with you guys. This topic has been on my mind a lot lately, especially because I am STILL unemployed and living at home with my parents as a 26 year old, but hey I feel like that should be normalized right? This week I get into how I personally feel about still living at home in my late 20s, the pros and cons that made me decide to move back home, and why I believe it is OKAY if you are on the same boat as I am. Introducing Lissien! Lissien is my second 30-something on my podcast and someone I have only known for a few months but feel like I have known for longer! She's a fun soul and definitely was a great time to chat with over a glass of wine. I was so excited when she told me she loves San Antonio wine like I do so we of course opened a bottle of wine together. The infamous Cinthya is finally on as a guest! I have mentioned her countless times on the pod and she's finally here having a glass and chatting with me. Happy Pride Month! I kicked off Pride month by having a conversation with my cousin Joshua Vasquez. He is a traveling hairstylist and my first 30-something on the podcast! We dive into more about him, chat about some Pride/West Hollywood memories, and gives some advice to those who are nearing their 30s. Yes... I am now unemployed. But it was my decision! Tune in this week for a solo episode where I rant about why I quit my job with no backup plan. I also dive into the topic of burnout because... let me tell you it's REAL. I definitely felt the effects of it for the first time and found a tweet that I believe helped me get to the first step... which is realize you are burnt out and taking the next steps. Take it from me and let me tell you that no job is worth sacrificing your mental health! Know your worth and work for people who appreciate you! Anyways....
