After a long delay, episode 2 of series 2 is here! I'm joined by Nelson Luzbel, a health coach from Florida, who like me, has suffered with health anxiety in the past. Nelson shares his struggles and we explore the almost polar opposite forms of health anxiety as our stories take different paths but end at the same place. I hope you find this episode educational and inspiring. Enjoy!
In this final episode of series one, I will be talking about reasons why care and for some of us worry about what other people think about us. I share the effects of worrying excessively about what others think about us and why we shouldn't live our lives in fear of other people's perceptions. There are of course benefits which can help us succeed. I also discuss the behaviour that is, imposter syndrome and how much of impact it can have on people's lives. Merry Christmas and enjoy!
This episode I will be going into the belly of the beast and discussing further about the main challenge to my mental health that was health anxiety. I will be sharing my experience of living with it and how I have managed to get a hold of it following my recovery through therapy. I share with you the habits that a health anxiety sufferer adopts and in my opinion, the best way to overcome it. Enjoy!
This episode has been designed to be a toolkit for managing and overcoming lousy states. I will sharing the benefits that shifting your focus, changing your physiology and altering your language and the meaning you give things, has on your mood and states. I hope this episode can be used repeatedly for your future use, if you ever struggle with being stuck in a rut.
This episode will explore the impact of both positive and negative self-talk on our lives. What we say to ourselves helps to form beliefs which in turn, determine our actions. I will be providing you with effective counters to combat negative self-talk and hopefully introduce you to tools, in the form of questions that you can use, to create a more fulfilled life for yourself.
This week, I'll be discussing the importance of understanding of our values, belief and rules. Following an earlier episode discussion the influences of pain and pleasure, I'll now share with you the power that our values have in shaping the person that you are and how re-evaluating the priority of your values can help you to reach your true potential. Once you know your values, you need to also understand the power of beliefs to impact the quality of your life. Enjoy!
In this episode, I will be breaking down common cognitive distortions, that when adopted leads to emotional and mental suffering, consequently inflaming any levels of anxiety within you. Understanding how to challenge these thoughts is an effective way of eliminating them from reoccurring.
In this episode, I share with you my raw and transparent account of my experiences with anxiety, touching on various events throughout my childhood and teenager years which fed the monsters of mental health. As a heads up this episode is pretty bleak at points but I share in the hopes that people can relate and know that, though it may seem difficult and dark, there is greener grass on the other side. I want you as listeners to enjoy the light-hearted and embarrassing moments and understand that I had to go through all of this in order to become the person I am today.
