Cancelling student debt is a very bad idea, because it creates moral hazard.  If education is for the individual and for life, the individual should pay.  If education is for the community and it’s a trade, the community should pay.

We are thankful for free market capitalism that has caused life to be better than anytime in history.  And, it’s going to get better because of Christian Capitalism.

Four of the “Ten Commandments of Biblical Economics” in the book Biblical Economic Policy, support free-market trade of national currencies: 1. People should be free, 2. Use honest measures, 3. Work is good, and 4. Trade is good.

The Bible says we end up in different places, and the rules of economics provide different levels of rewards.  Thus, we cannot “all end up in the same place,” as Kamala Harris suggests.

Christians want economic maximizers that avoid distress and no-stress.  We want them to have eustress, which encourages them to love their neighbor by producing goods and services for them.

Labor unions cause dis-union by discriminating between members and non-members.  They create the two “evils of macroeconomics:” Unemployment and Inflation.

God wants humans to be free, and He approves of work, thus He would probably support the Gig Economy.  And, Jesus was probably a “gigster.”

Jesus told the story of a free-market capitalist Samaritan, who owned his goods, and made the free-market choice to use them to serve a fellow human in need.

There are two requirements for taxes: Efficiency and Equality.  We should reward what we want (income) and punish what we don’t want (consumption.)  Thus, Jesus would probably favor a fair fax over a progressive income tax.

Government should be big enough to discourage the fallen nature, but not big enough to feed it.
