Today let’s chat about the temptation to boast about the sacrifice that we give to our customers, and thinking through your expectations of your customers.

Some of us might think this is an easy one, after all our issue is that we are too hard on ourselves. And then I did some reading and felt very convicted about boasting about sacrifice. It sounds something like this: I do so much for this person and they only… Take a listen as we talk about how this might apply in network marketing.

This week we are continuing our podcast series based on 1 Corinthians 13.  Each week, we are going to dive deep at the characteristics of love and how they apply to our network marketing business.  This week, we will look at “Love does not boast”

Specifically today, we will look at the ways that we see this characteristic of love in God.  It is obvious that we have no examples of God boasting.  He calls his work “good and very good” but that is not boasting just calling a spade a spade.  Today, we want to look at the opportunity that God has to boast and the ways that he doesn’t.

Ephesians 3:14-21

Let’s not forget that we are not to conjure up love on our own.  It flows from being rooted and established in the love of God.  Let’s pray to that end.

Taking a look at envy can be hard in a business where we are made to always feel compared to others via rank.  So, let’s be different here.  Let’s love our neighbor, and let’s love ourselves by seeing both in the way God sees them.  These kinds of heart prayers are good for the soul.  Let’s be loved right where we are, right now.

Love does not envy.

We know envy can be destructive to our own self esteem. And if that is true, it can really hold back our team members as well if they are feeling jealous and frustrated. Today, let’s talk about a simple thing you can do to keep your people focused on what they are doing well and less envious of others.

This week we are talking about envy and network marketing. Yesterday we talked about being grateful for our own talents and spending time doing things we love so we don’t envy what others do well. Today we talk about envying others’ business success.

Love is patient. Love is kind. Love does not envy. Yikes. Envy. Jealousy. Surely this can’t be the case for Christians in network marketing. In the next 3 days, we are going to chat about a few different areas when it comes to envy on our businesses. The first has to do with envying others’ characteristics, or strengths. The second has to do with envying their business success. The third has to do with fortifying your team so that envy doesn’t put out their flame, and keep them from reaching their goals.
