  • Communicating Your Message Prayer #3
    1 Corinthians 9, v 20, 22:
“To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law, so as to win those under the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.”
Today, as we take a moment to pray, I want to piggy back off of Tasha’s tip from yesterday.  We know how important it is to speak someone’s language, but today, I want us to reflect on our own experiences of this in order that we may grow in our empathy.

  • Communicating Your Message Business Tip #3
    Acts 2:5-8
Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?
Have you ever been trying to mentor a teammate who is new and you ask them what they think is best and they look at you like a deer in headlights? They get frustrated and you do also. Or, have you ever been working with a more advanced team member and you told them what to do and they got frustrated. What gives? You can’t win with anyone? Well that’s because you are not speaking their “skill level language.” Listen to this week’s podcast on how to speak your team member’s language.

    1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Yesterday, Tasha talked about the idea of addressing the question “Why should I care.”  And as we incorporate that idea with our passage from 1 Corinthians, we’ll be taking a look at the ways God’s love for us is what sets us apart as Christian network marketers and allows us to better serve our customers.

We need to speak to people in THEIR language, not ours. Customers typically speak in one language, their own. Listen to today’s podcast to learn more.

  • Communicating Your Message Prayer #1
Yesterday, Tasha gave us an awesome tip about speaking the language of our customers and making our communication to them simple and easy for them to understand.  Today, we focus in on a familiar passage that adds to this idea: 1 Corinthians 13:1-7
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.  If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” (NIV)

  • Knowing Your Role Prayer #3
Knowing our vision and what we are about can be so tricky.  Our hearts get blurry and we can get distracted.  Not all the time, but sometimes.  Perhaps there is a way to talk with God so that we have a clear and compelling vision and can be used powerfully by the Lord in our businesses.  Listen in and pray along.

    Matthew 9:9
As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. Follow me, he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
“Follow me.” Jesus was so bold. Why? Because He knew His vision. As Simon Sinek teaching in his famous book, “Start with Why,” it’s not the what we do, but the why that attracts people. This is the core of recruiting. When we understand why we are building a team, we can with deeper conviction say, “follow me.”

  • Knowing Your Role Prayer #2
    1 John 1:5-7
“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.  If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Can what Tasha talked about yesterday actually be true?  Can calling into the light actually serve people better?  Let’s talk to God about it and hear from this 1 John passage.  Perhaps it’s actually the best way to live.
