Last Friday I interviewed Andria Dowie on how God is working in her network marketing business.
The most mind blowing part of this conversation was when she explained what happens if you hold on tight and try to keep control. You close your fists and when you have closed fists, God can’t put anything in. It is only when we open our hands, and are open to receive that God can do His thing. #mindblown

Psalms 27:13-14
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
At some point, we all ask God, “Where are you??” There are times when running our businesses we wonder how God is working in our business, if He even is at all.
Today I have an interview with Anna Keck, and she talks about waiting on the Lord in our business and how hard that can be.
Here are just some of the takeaways that I gained from talking to Anna about her business and how God is working in her. Please listen to the entire episode or watch the video in the link below.
1. I loved the part where Anna shared she prays for the leaders that aren’t on my team yet
2. When it doesn’t start with the $, but instead how you can be a blessing to others, things go better
3. Anna’s laminated sheet to keep herself focused was brilliant.

“The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” -Mark 12:31
Do you treat our neighbors (your team members) the way you treat yourself? Would you ever say the things you say to yourself outloud to your team members?
Loving others starts with loving ourselves. It is going to be hard if you are trying to or wanting to give love to your team members, but you can’t love yourself.
So what is one thing that you can do to love yourself? What does it look like to love yourself?
Count your wins, even the little ones. The little ones add up to the big ones, and once you start counting your wins, you’ll realize you have more wins than you can count.
The reason you should count your wins, why you should love yourself, is because if you tell yourself that what you’re doing is not enough, that is the lens you’re going to talk to your team through. Then you will tell them that they are not doing enough.
So start writing down and recognizing 2-3 wins you had each week and ask yourself, “What did you do as a leader to create that success?” This will help you love yourself, which will lead to you loving your team member as well as your neighbor.

“I’m a bit crazy, but God loves us and knows who we are.”
In our businesses, we often feel so out of control. We may be spending so much time putting out fires, we forget to take time to think about how God is blessing us.
During this interview with one of our members, Renee, who is an infertility nurse, she and Tasha talk about gratitude and trusting in God’s plan. These are just some highlights of the interview. If you would rather listen to the interview, you can click here. If you would like to watch the interview, the video is linked at the end of this post.
One of the first things that Renee says in the interview the quote above that she may be a little bit crazy, but God loves us for who we are, which is a great reminder for us as we run our businesses, or for everyone.
Renee early on in the interview says that one of the things she has been working on is to center on gratitude. Along that idea Tasha has a reminder that we need to trust and thank God for how He has made us, instead of comparing ourselves to others.
One thing that Renee prays for along with gratitude is asking God, “Who are you going to put in my path today?” As a nurse, Renee works with so many different people, and she encourages us to “Be who we are and bring it out. Run with it and don’t be afraid.” That is such a great encouragement for all of us as people and as business owners.
A last encouragement that Renee gives is to remind us that “It is not about me or you, it is about God.” We just need to trust in Him, listen to His word, and obey. And you’ll want to check out the recording and catch Renee’s final thoughts.

Is it selfish to pray for our business? Because money is associated with being worldly, we have a hard time praying for our businesses. But what if there is a greater purpose behind it?
Tasha interviews two members of Emerge Sales Training, and they talk about the reasons why they work so hard in their businesses and how they use their time, talents, and other resources out in the field to serve.
