  • Episode 43: EP37 | Leaving a ministry position gracefully
    The CSP crew talks about the ups and downs of leaving a ministry position.
    How do leave? - When do you leave? - Should you leave? - Why do you want to leave?
    Is God apart of your decision or is it emotional ?. It's really a tough place to be and we have some answers. Just because your passion is fading in one area doesn’t mean your tenure at a church is over. Whether you work at a church, school, or business, philosophical and cultural fits are two of the most overlooked factors in hiring or accepting a job. In churches, I would argue they are almost as important as theological fit. Here's the check list:
    1. Listen to the right voice.
    2. Remain faithful to the vision of the house.
    3. Don’t go looking for greener pastures.
    4. Don’t get into fear.
    5. Remember no matter what, God is in control;
    6. If it is time to go, never look back.
    7. God operates by the law of mutual benefit.
