There’s no better way to start a season than with some movement and that’s what we’re bringing with the incredibly skilled and deadly members on the dance floor. They are teachers in their respective dance styles and role models in the dance community. 

To master the art of dance is one thing, whilst honouring and expressing the cultural history is another. Upholding the dualities is not only an act of a true artist, but a reminder of what we rebel for.

In reflection, it's been interesting to see how these two areas are intercepting as we speak. How allowing myself to explore my perspective and relationship with the two were key in this new chapter. The importance of showing up authentically both personally and digitally is a navigation on implementing boundaries, whilst leadership naturally unfolds within the space you create for yourself.

Our last episode before we change things up, and a touching one of that. We delved into the value of understanding our systems and foundations both internally and externally, in order to achieve consistency in growth. Whilst working presently from a place of need/require will lead us to what we earnestly want/desire. How accepting and working with the ‘worst versions’ of ourselves is the ultimate place to truly transform. To learning to accept, love and nurture ours and each other’s vulnerable selves is the journey we are all inevitably on.

Our second solo episode on the eclipse day! T'was one when showing up on a sat morning felt a bit rough but I'm so glad we did as we unpacked honest and introspective insights from my discovered formula for self-esteem and self-worth, to how asian beauty standards/stereotypes have prolonged my connection with my cultural identity and more. It feels like journaling but on-air live and I kinda love it.

This episode was so special to me, because it was truly a new chapter and I had no idea how it would go, if I would even be able to interview myself. I could feel this theme of womanhood be such a core subconscious chapter for some time now and to bring it to the conscious and ethos felt so healing. It's brought clarity in who I am and who I'm becoming and zest for my forever evolution.

This episode was an earnest discussion on how committing wholeheartedly to your purpose can create a certain simplicity in your life. How it not only allows you to show up for yourself but also how it allows you  to be more emotionally available to yourself and others. How it shows you what real support feels like and how it’s formed. To creating from a place of vulnerability and one’s life experiences, for that is how we can all truly connect.

This was a beautifully healing episode where we were able to delve into our personal perspectives and journeys as adoptees. From the important reminder that finding a sense of belonging comes from self-acceptance, trust and self-assurance that it is safe for us to belong with ourselves. To the unique challenges we can face around identity and culture. And how many creative adoptees devote themselves to the interception of humanitarian and mixed media work, to influence and implement tangible social change.
