A hunter in Lowndes County recently tested positive for rabies after being attacked. A warning has been issued to veterinarians statewide to remind of the importance of rabies vaccinations and other potential dangers of the disease. The Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries recently received reports of unsolicited tomato and onion seeds being delivered to residents across the state through the U.S. Postal Service. The seeds tested negative for harmful compounds.
