    Isaiah 7:1-9
Join us as we begin our Advent Series. Over the next four Sunday's we will look at how words such as hope, peace, joy, and love are established and practiced in the lives of those who follow Jesus. Our series will center on a portion of prophecy in the Old Testament book of Isaiah (7:1-9:7). This week we consider how our great hope in Jesus informs and inspires the motivation we need to endure as we live as aliens and sojourners in this world.

    Mark 11-13
As we continue to explore the gospel of Mark, we are moving into the Passion Week. This is the time of Jesus' life where he will be firmly rejected, betrayed, denied, crucified, and buried. In Mark 11-13 Jesus moves towards Jerusalem, entering and exiting the city on three occasions, continuing to serve and sacrifice as the cross draws near. Jesus would suffer and die, but he would remain faithful all the way to end, continuing to train, equip, prepare, and pray for those God had called him to love and serve. Join us as we continue to walk with Jesus, triumphant in weakness.

  • Our Christ - audio

    Mark 8:1-30
When was the last time someone asked you a really good question? A good question, asked at the right time, can help someone know they are seen, and even feel welcomed and loved. Throughout his ministry, Jesus uses questions to challenge his opponents, while also encouraging and equipping his disciples. Today, we continue in our study of Mark's gospel, exploring Mark 8:1-30. We will examine five questions that Jesus asks, questions that will ultimately move us toward the central confession of Mark's gospel, when Peter proclaims, "You are the Christ."

  • The Rejected Restorer - audio
    Pastor Chris Lenhart
    Mark 4:35-6:6a
In Mark 4:35-6:6a Jesus calms the storm, casts out demons, heals the sick, and still finds his ministry largely rejected and scrutinized, even by those of his own hometown. In the midst of the miracles Jesus is calling people to believe, to have faith, while he affirms those who demonstrate faith, even in spite of their fear. In this text we explore the contrasts between fear and belief. Fear can keep us from recognizing Jesus for who he truly is. Jump into the gospel of Mark with us today as we explore the ways in which Jesus motivates faith.
