#157: Lonni Alameda, Head Coach, Florida State Softball, recaps the Renegade Classic games against Kentucky & Georgia Southern and previews this week's games against Florida A&M and the Unconquered Invitational against Nebraska, Western Kentucky and Michigan.  The Seminoles will have eight games on ESPN3, with two games on ESPNU and one game on the SEC Network. The games on ESPN3 include home contests against Florida A&M, USC Upstate, Colgate and Auburn, as well as a road ACC doubleheader at Virginia Tech. #156: Kelly Ford, Head Coach, Cal State Fullerton Softball, previews the upcoming season for Titans.  The Titans Led by 2014 Big West Player of the Year and third team All-American Missy Taukeiaho, the Cal State Fullerton softball team was picked to finish second in the Big West Conference in 2015 as selected by the eight head coaches in the annual preseason poll.  At the helm in 2014, Ford and the Titans jumped out to a 6-0 record, chalking up the best start for the program since the 2000 squad reeled off 11 straight wins before suffering a loss. Tallying an overall record of 33-21-1, the Titans reached the 33-win mark for the first time since 2007 and will look to build on that in 2015. Lacey Waldrop and Maddie O'Brien were both placed on the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 50 "Watch List" for 2015. #154: Eugene Lenti, Head Coach, DePaul Softball, visits TCRS.  DePaul is the lone member of the BIG EAST represented in the NFCA pre-season rankings and is coming off of a 44-11 campaign from a season ago and finished No. 24 in the last NFCA poll of 2014.  The Blue Demons, despite not having a ranked matchup in league play, meet some of top competition in the non-conference portion of their schedule. DePaul encounters four teams in the preseason poll who are ranked or are receiving votes this season.  DePaul kicks off its season with a duel in Honolulu with No. 4 Oklahoma on Feb. 5. The Blue Demons could see the Sooners twice during the five-game classic, hosted by Hawaii. #153: Lonni Alameda, Head Coach, Florida State Softball, visits TCRS to recap the 2013/2014 season and talk about how the team has looked since its return from the holiday break.  In six seasons at FSU, Coach Alameda has led the Seminoles to five ACC Championship game appearances with titles in 2011 and 2014.  FSU posted its best season in a decade with a 55-9 record in 2014 to finish ranked No. 7 in the country by both the NFCA and USA Softball. The Seminoles won 24 ACC games to set a new school and ACC mark for conference wins in a season and also set program records in runs scored (400), home runs (65), extra base hits (168), RBI (363), walks (318) and slugging percentage (.493). #152: Megan Smith, Head Coach, Kansas Softball, visits TCRS.  During the 2014 season, Smith guided the Jayhawks back to the postseason with Kansas’ first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2006. KU opened the Columbia Regional with a 3-1 upset over No. 19 Nebraska, which marked the second victory over a ranked opponent in 2014. The first win over a nationally-ranked foe was a 7-5 win over No. 8 Kentucky. The wins extended KU’s streak to five-straight seasons under Smith where the Jayhawks have defeated an opponent in the Top 25 polls. Kansas concluded its fifth season under Smith with a 34-23 record, which marked the fourth-straight 30-win season for the Jayhawks in the Smith era.

Kansas garnered several honors at the conclusion of the 2014 season. Sophomore shortstop Chaley Brickey was selected to the All-Big 12 Second Team for the second-straight year and was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region First Team, while junior first baseman Maddie Stein was named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team. Five Jayhawks earned Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2014 including senior Alex Jones, who earned her third first-team honor, while Stein collected her second first-team honor. Junior Chanin Naudin earned academic honors from the Big 12 for the second-straight year. #151: Glenn Moore, Head Coach, Baylor Softball, visits TCRS.  In 2014, Baylor made the trip to OKC reaching the semis before falling to the eventual 2014 WCWS Champion Florida Gators.  This season Baylor will be led by Sr. INF. #150: Crystal Rosenthal, Head Coach, Concordia Irvine, visits TCRS.  2015 is Coach Rosenthal's seventh season at the helm for the Eagles and the team has had a winning record each of her first seasons with at least 50 wins in each of the last three.  In 2013, the Eagles won the NAIA National Championship after going (52-3). #149:  Taylor Leach formerly of University of South Carolina visits TCRS to discuss her time as a Gamecock and the upcoming 2015 National Women's Soccer League Draft which will be held on 1/16/2015 in Philadelphia.  During her time at USC, Leach earned First-Team All-SEC twice and was a 2014 Sr. Class Award Candidate Leach of Facebook.

#148: Kim Schuette, Head Coach, Purdue, visits TCRS.  In 2014, Schuette led the Boilermakers to a sixth-place conference finish and the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals in her first season. Purdue went 27-28-1 including a 13-10 mark in conference play. The Boilers won five of their eight league series and posted three wins over Top 25 foes, downing No. 4 Michigan, No. 10 Texas and No. 12 Minnesota. The season, which saw the squad play 14 games against Top 25 foes and 14 opponents that advanced to the NCAA Regionals, also featured a no-hitter by junior Alex Whittemore and a program-best five All-Big Ten honorees. A program-record six players garnered All-Region accolades, while a record 14 players earned Academic All-Big Ten nods and senior outfielder Andie Varsho was tabbed with first team Academic All-America honors.
