In the second edition of their Pride series, Jack and Sean look at the ground-breaking documentary Paris Is Burning. Directed by Jennie Livingston, it charts the lives of the gay, trans, Latino and African American communities that laid the foundations for the ball culture in New York in the 1980s.

This documentary follows the lives of those who take part in the balls and gives the viewer a unique insight into the culture, preparation, and indeed hardship that many of these exceptional individuals went through daily. Using footage of the balls and one-on-one interviews, Livingston tells their stories and gives a voice to what is now one of the most mainstream forms of expression in the 21st century.

This week Jack and Sean talk to BEA, a singer and multi- instrumentalist. She tells the boys about writing music, her early musical influences and about her excitement at her very first gig. She also explains about how she wrote some of her songs and the impact of her degree on her song writing. 

Sean also plays some songs that Jack has never heard of, Jack does some bad southern accents and they discuss the bravery of a American woman saving her dog.

Drag Kids is an insightful and conscientious documentary charting the lives of four children you love drag. We get a look into the lives of these kids from some of their huge social media followings, to their parent’s unconditional support in the face of adversity, to eventually seeing them get to walk in front of a live audience. This documentary looks at how this form of expression is received through the eyes of the people who live it- the parents and the children themselves and serves as a testament to the art and community as a whole.

The ambiguous "Toll Booth" has carved out a small criminal empire in rural wales but when his old colleagues come looking for him and a series of eccentric individuals head for a violent showdown the ambiguous "Toll Booth" must plot his way out. A violent comedy with elements of classic westerns this rich world and wacky characters create a rich witty comedy with a lot to offer.
