On Jan. 20, 2025, Donald Trump made history for being the first president to serve non-consecutive terms since Grover Cleveland was inaugurated for the second time in 1893. Trump is also the first president to be convicted of a felony. The Chronicle talked to several Trump supporters who traveled from outside the state and country to witness the historic event in Washington D.C. and celebrate the occasion.

After the official swearing-in was moved indoors, tens of thousands of Trump supporters lined up at the Capital One Arena to watch a live-stream of the ceremony, held at the Capitol Rotunda.
