The Comic Book Super Show!

This week, on the Season Finale of Just Another Fanboy, I want to talk about COVID-19. But rather then spend time on the dark side of things, I wanted to talk about the bright spots. Stuff we have now that we didn't have before.

I don't want to take away from the tragedy, or ignore the heroic efforts of our first responders, teachers, and those in the food service and retail industry. Those are incredible people.

But in this episode, I just wanted to look at the Bright Side of Life.

As May the 4th Be With You landed this week, I couldn't help but think about Star Wars. It didn't hurt that Rise of Skywalker hit Disney Plus the same day.

So after watching the movie for the first time I sat down and recorded my thoughts on the final chapter of the Skywalker Saga as well as Star Wars in general.

Buckle up folks, because I have something special for you, before the big Episode 100. This is a podcast, within a podcast, within a podcast.

That's right, today I dip back into the well, going back to February 17, 2019 and play you episode 26 of the now defunct Steeven Orr Else Podcast, which is in itself, an episode where I showcased three episodes of my Patreon podcast called, My Other Podcast.

This is a long one, but that's only to keep you busy until Episode 100 comes out in one week's time.

Among these three episodes I first challenge myself to fill fifteen minutes of episode time with nothing yet wind up telling a wonderful story about Sonic and a chicken sandwich, then I talk about my most favorite single comic book issue of all time, and finally I discuss a limited series known as Marvel 1872.

So yeah, as I said right there at the get go, buckle up!

This is the episode in which I dip back into the old episode bin and play something from March of 2019.

Did you know that there was once a time where Spider-Man was shot and buried by Kraven the Hunter?

That's right, this is the episode in which I talk about Kraven's Last Hunt by J. M. DeMatteis, Mike Zeck, Bob McLeod, Rick Parker, Bob Sharen, and Janet Jackson.

"Kraven the Hunter has stalked and killed every animal known to man. But there is one beast that has eluded him. One quarry that has mocked him at every turn: the wall-crawling web-slinger known as Spider-Man. And to prove that he is the hero's master, he will pull on his costume and become him... after he shoots and buries him six feet under!"

Published by Marvel Comics in Web of Spider-Man #31-32, Amazing Spider-Man #293-294, and Spectacular Spider-Man #131-132 between October and November of 1987.
