The Comics Podcast

For this very special, over-sized episode of The Comics Podcast, Alex welcomes special guests Jean-Luc (not a different one) and Emily to the show to chat about season three of Riverdale! There’s a lot to cover and no Chad telling us to stop so yes, you’re reading that time code right. But the episode’s fun because Riverdale is bonkers. Also Jean-Luc had to edit it and left in the part where they talk about The Neon Demon despite being instructed to cut it out. Deal with it

On this week's homey little show, Chad and Jean talk the new John Wick movie and why it's amazing! They then talk about a bunch of other action movies, the new Carley Ray Jepsen album, and dating Chad Kroeger. After that it's a bit of comics talk with Spider Man, Star Wars, and a hint of Redneck. This is then followed up with Shinedown chat because music is life shut up, and an ice cream review.

Thanks and get 'em!

Jean-Luc has thoughts about Game of Thrones. And what does one do when they have thoughts? Why, sit down with a friend and record a pdocast of course! Jean-Luc invites his friend Roshan on to discuss the themes of the show, why the last four seasons have been massive disappointments, how it ends, the morality of having sex with police officers (don't do it folks!), and which GoT characters would do real-world drugs if they had access to them. Very cool.

This week we talk lots of movies, or Jean-luc and Alex do. Chad didn't see any movies. Expect Detective Pikachu (spoiler free), John Wick (spoiler free), Dredd, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Underworld becuase Chad has to make movie talk = Underworld. IT IS LEGIT SHUT UP!

After that it's comic books with Giddeon Falls, Naomi, Star Wars, Farmhand, and our good friend, Batman.

Cheers and have fun

Hey, hey, hey! It's finally time to talk that new Marvel movie! You may have heard of it. It grossed the GDP of a small country. Thanos is mean. This week, Chad, Jean, and Alex talk Avengers Endgame, Detective Pikachu, and a bunch of comic books. Comics include Deadly Class, Murder Falcon, Excellence, Batman and the Outsiders, Sonic, and more! Have fun!

On our special 150th episode, we got a guest, we got some lists, and we have a conversation that involves all of those things put together. Join Emily, Chad, Jean, and Alex as they discuss their top five comic books of all time--or the best 20 comic books of all time since let's be fair, that is what this is.

Cheers to our listeners! I never thought we'd make it this far. This is what we in the biz call, "rad"

Hey everyone, this week Taylor Swift released a new song, so of course we spend fifteen godforsaken minutes talking about it. Also Marvel released a movie you might have heard of. That's another fifteen. No spoilers though! We promise (Chad hasn't seen it yet). After that it's comic books with Heroes in Crisis, Ascender, The Wild Storm, and some Star Wars nonsense. Enjoy, tell your friends, and eat ice cream.

Well I uploaded this and it crashed so I have to do show notes again, which I don't actually want to do. Short version: We talk about music, horror movies, being scared as kids, and then comic books at the end. Typical stuff. Please to enjoy and tip your waiter on the way out.

On this week's episode, Chad, Jean, and Alex talk about the new Star Wars trailer for Rise of the Skywalker! It involves sand and lightsabers so you know it's Star Wars. After that, Chad watched Crazy Rich Asians while Jean watched Pet Semetary and Shazam! After that it's comics with Murder Falcon, Batman, Wonder Twins, and Rat Queens.
