The Comics Podcast

Pretty sure the x in the title has nothing to do with crossing over and more to do with crossing inside if you get my drift. Also we talked about comics but I didn't edit this and i don't remember anything other than the Jesus x the Easter Bunny bit. So enjoy that i guess.

SPOOKY SCARY! 3 JOKERS! SHORT SENTENCES! EMILY, JEAN! CHAD, ALEX! COMICS EVENTUALLY! SOUND BOARD! SCOOBY DOO! SPEED RACER? sadly no. LISTEN ANYWAY YAY!

Some minor audio issues throughout--someone's mic picked up some static I couldn't quite remove--but the conversation's still good! Chad, Jean-luc, and Emily talk Frozen 2, Borat 2, Harley Quinn, Owl House, and then a bunch of comics. First it's Scumbag, then more Harley Quinn, a bunch of Jeff Lemire stuff with Gideon Falls and Family Tree, and finally Big Girls. Oh and Stillwater. Might be one or two more, too. Lots of comics!

We're back to reading Monstress again for our book club, too. So jump in on that if you can

On this wonderful little adventure, Jean-luc is back to sadly hear Chad and Emily talk about the new Inuyasha sequel, Yashahime Princess Half Demon. He gets his revenge by talking Star Wars with Alex. Alex also talks about The Flash. There's also a little Harley Quinn talk, and then COMIC BOOKS! So many. We got Die, Adventureman, Lost Soldier, Getting it Together, and Coffinbound.

We wrap up the conversation with our dive into Dragon Sanctuary, a pretty fun webcomic you can read for free on the web! Neat huh?

OH and we talk about sounding! Fun stuff. Pucker up.

Howdy everyone! Audio is a little funky this week, which is a shame because the episode is tons of fun! We talk beer, skittles, oroes, and of course blackpink who just dropped a new album. Alex also brings up Star Wars

For comic books its Three Jokers, Mercy, That Texas Blood, and two others that I've completley forgotten the names of.

This week Jean-Luc is off to the Enterprise to visit some family because his name is Jean-Luc and this is an original joke. In his absense, Chad, Emily and Alex bring out their swingingest, jazziest conversations as they plan a trip to the midwest full of camping and gas stations. There's talk of Gravity Falls, Enola Holmes, Blazing Saddles, Catboys and more! They also talk about some comics including Sonic the Hedgehog, Gideon Falls, The Goddamned Virgin Brides, Bliss, and end off with some spirited discussions about Sonic's feet.

On this week's episode of stupid comics, we talk about Harley Quinn, how Chad would run DC, some movie Alex saw, preparing for hurricans, catboys, and that's about it. Like no comics came out this week at all, so it was all bookclub with the Amory Wars by Coheed and Cambria.

Oh boy...

Oh. I reference this episode of Opinions Are Cheap if you want a good Dogwelder story https://soundcloud.com/user-667700071/episode-32-batman-and-beyond

So yeah this week we decided to move our discussion of Prez up a little bit because we looked at the list of comics coming out and said "fuck all that shit, let's read something good instead!" So we did, and we talk about it. But before that, Emily does her best to get cancelled by defending "Cuties" which sounds like a totally fine coming of age movie. Jean-Luc has been watching The Boys. That's comic related, but the comic sucks. Show's good.

And of course, it wouldn't be an episode of The Comics Podcast if we didn't take an opportunity to dunk on Tom King and heap praise onto Snotgirl, even when a new issue hasn't come out in six months.

This weeks episode is late but it's also full of fun topics like volcel vampires, Roller Coasters, musical colaborations, pregnancy. There's also a lot of comics, including Ascender, Lost Soldiers, Batman: Three Jackoffs, and our spotlight comic, Cruel Summer!
