The tragic martyrdom of Charlie Kirk is yet another example of the horrific fallout of institutions that have falsely claimed to be ramparts of critical thinking and free speech. Instead, the sociocultural conditioning of soul-less, values-free, truth-deficit education has spawned a generation of hedonism and lawlessness. Join Dr. Lisa Dunne on this week's episode as she shares her experience as a speaker at Turning Point and as a college professor for 25 years. If we want a better America, we must start by facing the brokenness of this one. Universities must recognize and repent for the role they've played in silencing free speech, in undermining critical thought, and in severing parental support in the scholastic process. Education is broken. We can fix it. May we continue to carry on the Charlie's courageous legacy of confronting and exposing the darkness in high places in public university campuses--of defeating the darkness with dialogue. Charlie's mission existed because a generation before him allowed the Great Commission to be outlawed on our watch. It's time to take it back.

Join me on this week's show for an interview with Pastor Josiah Elias, the lead pastor of Faith Chapel in Spring Valley, California. Pastor Josiah and his wife Ashley are devoted to discipleship. They want to see believers develop into wholehearted followers of Jesus, and they understand that discipleship begins in the home, in the early years of our children's walk with the Lord. They recognize the weighty mandate that the local church carries to equip and encourage parents in discipling their kids, and that as believers, we can't just look the other way when an entire generation is steeped in anxiety, depression, and atheism. That's why Faith Chapel is going all in on education. Learn more about the mission and the inspiration on today's show.

Does history matter? Many schools have fallen away from the teaching of America's powerful history as a visionary nation that has influenced the rest of the world for almost a quarter of a century. But this foundational lack of instruction has created an unanchored generation. As the saying goes, "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." Join me for a special interview with historian, politician, and CVCU History Professor Kyle Hermann. You'll discover the historical decisions that have made America great--and what it will take to keep our nation in a position of influence and impact.

Fear. Depression. Anxiety. Suicide ideation. How do we respond to the needs of what is now being called "the anxious generation"? According to the Center for Disease Control, over 1.5 million kids under the age of 17 take anti-anxiety medication, and 61% of college students are struggling with anxiety, according to the American Psychological Association. What are the physiological, psychological, social, and spiritual roots of these oppressive conditions? Join Dr. Lisa for part 3 of the High Anxiety series as she examines causes, effects, and considerations for raising a generation of emotion-regulating champions. Parents, you're not alone. There is hope for the next generation--and for our own generations--if we lean in to the wisdom of God's word. Education is discipleship. Who is discipling your children, and what habits of the heart are being construed as normal or necessary? Let's not conform to the pattern of this world; let's instead be transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can know God's good and perfect and pleasing will. You've got this!

In part one, she shares her own testimony with anxiety and overviews some of the psychosocial crises that are emerging in today's students. In part two of this series, she explains the power of inquiry-based learning, questions, and curiosity. As part of the analysis of human behavioral patterns, she assesses the cause and effect connections between three predominant GenZ emotions: fear, anxiety, and depression, examining their root causes as physical, social, and spiritual.

The average 4 year-old-child asks 437 questions a day. Their developmental stage of epistemic curiosity leads them to think, to wonder, to imagine, to search for the why. By the time these same children reach the teen years, they have often lost their wonder, their curiosity, their sense of awe. Their questions turn inward. Their thoughts become anxious. Join Dr. Lisa for part one today's show, High Anxiety, and learn how your educational format can positively impact the triad of emotional fallouts sweeping the youngest generation: anxiety, depression, and atheism. Discover an ancient teaching technique modeled by Jesus himself that develops critical thinking skills, inspires awe, and works wonders for emotion regulation. Homeschooling works. You can do this; we can help.
