1 John 1:5-10; Psalm 139:23-24 - The bible describes two kinds of repentance. The first happens when a person hears the gospel and turns in faith to Jesus, receiving His salvation. The second should happen every day after this. The first kind of repentance is about re-birth and the second about re-orienting our lives to God's plan.

Psalm 34:18; Mark 14:3; Jeremiah 18 - The clay is in the hand of the potter and also messed up. God told Jeremiah that no matter how messed up His people are, they are still in His hand. He will not give up.

Psalm 40:1-3; Philippians 2:13; Psalm 139; 2 Corinthians 4; James 1:3-5; Isaiah 64:8; Isaiah 45:9; Jeremiah 18; Job 23:10; Psalm 66; Philippians 1:6 - Over the years as I have studied scripture and worked in the studio, God has taught me a wonderful truth. God is at work in the lives of people. Scripture says, it is God who works in us to will and do according to His good pleasure. What a joy to trust that the One who has begun a good work in us is faithful to complete it. W are His workmanship, the Bible declares.

Ephesians 2:1-10; 4:32 - Relationships can only truly thrive in the context of closeness and security. As we wrap up this series on Ephesians 2:1-10 we see that God has given us both of these things in Christ. Because of God's grace we get His presence and His promise.

Relationships that once offered so much promise or enjoyment can deteriorate and create pain for those involved. Thankfully, there's hope! The hope for every relationship is found in Jesus and His grace towards us.

What hope do deeply flawed people have of participating in truly good relationships? The answer is found in the way God relates to us!

John 20:21; Luke 19:1-10 - The easiest way to know what a church is supposed to be doing is to look at Jesus' life in the gospels. Following the resurrection, Jesus sent His people out to be His "body" in the world. In light of this, the story of Jesus' encounter with a man named Zacchaeus can teach us a lot about what it means to "be the church!"

1 Corinthians 15:1-11 - The gospel isn't just something that non-Christians need. Those who already know Jesus continue to need it as well! We never outgrow the gospel! The apostle Paul wrote that the gospel is "of first importance," or in other words, it's the most important thing! What does it look like to receive the gospel and then continue to "stand" it?
