Mark 4:1-25 - The story of the soils is one of Jesus' most misunderstood but important parables. It tells us that there are multiple ways to reject Jesus, but only one way to receive him.

Mark 3:7-35 - It's common in religion to think of "insiders" and "outsiders:" the good people who "get it" and the bad people who don't. The life and ministry of Jesus shows us that the "insiders" aren't necessarily the ones we think they are, and the "outsiders" may actually be the ones who "get it."

Mark 2:18-3:6 - During Jesus' public ministry, He seemed to encounter the most resistance from those who were the most religious. Why is that? What happens when religion becomes a substitute for God?

Mark 2:13-17 - "Grace" is a word that we use all the time at church. We sing about it and talk about it, but do we really understand it? Jesus' life and ministry shows us that grace is far more scandalous than we usually think.

Mark 2:1-12 - Everyone wants to be happy. Isn't that what most of our choices are really about? What will make me happiest? Jesus shows us what true happiness is, and how we can have it.

Mark 1:40-45 - There are two common questions suffering people wrestle with in regards to God: can he help and does he care? For many, the second question is the one they really doubt. Does God care?

Mark 1:14-28 - When Jesus calls us to follow Him he calls us to trust Him with every part of our lives. How do we do that? What does it look like to surrender our whole self to Christ?
