The Con Artists Podcast

The activation of the 7G Network was supposed to catapult Japan into the future. Instead, it left reality stretched and broken outside of one specific train line leading to source of the disaster. When a trio of girls learn that one of their friends may still be alive near the end of the line, they embark on a journey through increasingly bizarre stations to reunite with her, confronting weirdness at every turn. The Con Artists have some thoughts on whether the promise of the show holds up over its length.

S2E9 Gotta Catch ’Em All (Dragon Type Pokémon)

It's the 25th Anniversary of Pokémon, can you believe it?! I've brought in Resident Pokémon Expert, Chris to podcast with me again! In honor of this exciting milestone and it being a Year of the Dragon on the Chinese Zodiac, we've decided to talk about one of the coolest types of Pokémon: Dragon Type! What's up with Dragon-Types being weak to themselves? Why does that one dragon come out of an apple?! How the heck is best boy Charizard NOT a dragon unless he's in X-form? Most importantly, have you gone to Sephora and become glamorous enough to BECOME A DRAGON?!

Also, I forgot to mention it in audio, but thank you to https://www.smogon.com/dex/ for answers to items 2-6 mentioned in the Checkpoint.

End of Cour Spring 2023

It was a season of plenty here in Spring 2023! We all watched way too much stuff and you're gonna hear about it, so sit back and get comfortable!

Note: This cast is 1:40:00. We didn't pick a stop point to split this into two casts, so just a warning that this one is REALLY long compared to what we have done previously.

In addition to all the great things Brendan said about My Clueless First Friend he wanted to add:

Are you ready for ALL the slow burn romance?!?!? Are you ready for, THE GOLF MOON EMPRESS?!?!?!

Long ago, fire became even deadlier to humans than before. Anyone too close to natural flame would combust, causing a global disaster that drove humanity into darkness. Many years into the rebuilding of the world, two young people become embroiled in the struggles between powerful factions and must brave monsters, divine magic, and a wildly fluctuating quality of animation to survive a confoundingly vague plot. Take a listen to our thoughts as we puzzle out what happened in this weird series.
