Today, we have Elena Urioste, a world-class violinist who has performed quite literally all over the world, in many incredible locations. She is also the the founder and Artistic Director of Chamber Music by the Sea, an annual summer chamber music festival, as well as the co-founder of Intermission Sessions, a business that helps musicians unite body, mind, breath, and music-making through yoga and meditation. And yes, she is an experienced Yogi as well.
We talk about how her discovery of yoga physically and mentally changed her life and inspired her and her friend and fellow co-founder of Intermission Sessions, Melissa White, to encourage musicians to practice self-compassion.
By the way, if you really want to get rid of nagging pains, deal with injury and failure, and gain performance insights from seasoned musicians, this fun contest lays it all out for you! Check it out here:
