Hope is a positive expectation of the future. People need hope. In fact, it's necessary for human fluorishing. But Christian hope is different. Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful." All other hope is shakeable and abstract, but Christian hope is specific, certain, and communal, rooted in the promises of God.
