There are a couple of different ways to cross a river. The easiest and most obvious is to use a bridge. But if there was no bridge you could row a canoe across. And if you didn’t have a canoe you might be able to throw a rope over to the other side. And if the stream was small enough you might be able to just hop over with a running leap. But the river between us and God? There’s only one way to reach the other side. You’ll never cross the chasm apart from Jesus.
