John Cartwright is a Panthers legend who was on the 1991 side which brought home the club's first NRL Premiership.

With a foot still in the league as an assistant coach for the Broncos, Cartwright thinks the Panthers will have what it takes to win the Grand Final, citing the side has matured from falling short the previous season.

"Last year, they got through winning 18 outta 19 in a row... This year they've had a few hiccups, they've been very consistent, but they've had to win it.

"I think their preparation has been perfect," says Cartwright.

He joins The Continuous Call Team to share stories from his career and also his thoughts on the 2021 NRL Grand Final.

"(This year) probably is their best oppourtunity."

The 2021 NRL Grand Final is set.

The Panthers will take on the Rabbitohs in a match-up for the ages.

There's a number of storylines as the big dance approaches, but for Panthers hooker Apisai Koroisau it's familiar territory against his debut team.

Having been a member of the 2014 Premiership-winning Rabbitohs team, Koroisau now looks to win ring number 2 against his old team.

"It's definitely a strange feeling, winning your first premiership with (Souths), the club you debuted for.

"I'm looking to make different memories with the Penrith Panthers," Koroisau says.

With a week of the spotlight on the two sides, Koroisau says coach Ivan Cleary said to take it all in.

"The first thing he said was just to enjoy it, it's one of those weeks that don't come around very often," says Koroisau.
