Human trafficking Human trafficking is a planet wide epidemic. With the ease of travel, human beings are trafficked throughout the world and children are the most lucrative in this multi-billion dollar business. This film focuses on the plight of children between the ages of ten and sixteen. These children have been abandoned, literally thrown out of the home of one or both parents, left behind when parents move on, or flee abusive situations so intense that the unknown is risked rather than face mutilation and death. With the collaboration of the FBI, KBI, some of the victims, and numerous law enforcement agents and lawmakers, the movie weaves the story concisely so as not to spend too much time on the problem. When children are found in this kind of situation, authorities don’t know what to do with them. Often they tell them to go home but there is no home to go to and no rehabilitation offered, ultimately no options except to go back into the hands of a pimp. The need for rehabilitation homes and centers for these fragile young people is at a critical juncture. The estimates of 100,000 to 300,000 missing children in the United States alone creates enough need in every major city to fund and staff rehab centers. Sadly, the silent and horrendous abuse that is suffered can take a lifetime to overcome. Please join us for this timely and provocative topic.

This week's show is based on one of the most popular and talked about workshops given at the Urantia Book Fellowship's International Conference this past July by presenters Claudia Ayers (teacher) and Lee Smith (therapist). We thought, in the midst of traditional holiday feasting, it would be timely to have a show on health and nutrition. Claudia and Lee are both highly respected professionals and longtime students of The Urantia Book. They have spent the last several years researching diet and nutrition and what they have learned will likely surprise you because it runs counter to many popular and current ideas.   For many years they believed that since Jesus appeared to prefer a meatless Passover, and that Adam and Eve ate only fruits and nuts, then it was likely that the Celestial Hosts were guiding humanity towards vegetarianism, if not veganism. Upon closer examination, they found something quite surprising. However, at this stage in humankind's development, post-Ademic planets like this one are typically omnivorous, having evolved from “the once exclusively meat-eating evolutionary races.” Claudia and Lee have found dozens of food and nutrition references tucked into The Urantia Book that are completely consistent with worldwide cultural traditions that have maintained the health and sanity of humankind with meals that include animal proteins and fats. They will also share with us the rich diversity of books and other references that they have discovered that support the importance of these dietary components for healthy individuals, which they will happily share. This week Christilyn and André will finish our study of Paper 113, Seraphic Guardians of Destiny, as presented in The Urantia Book. This paper gives an in depth overview of those beings that humankind lovingly refers to as guardian angels; the same beings known in The Urantia Book as seraphic guardians of destiny.  This paper will likely intrigue and inspire you even if you don't believe in angels. You won't want to miss the final show in this series. This week we’ll read about the responsibilities and fascinating service of our guardian angels after death. 113:6.5 “The guardian seraphim is the custodial trustee of the survival values of mortal man’s slumbering soul as the absent Adjuster is the identity of such an immortal universe being. When these two collaborate in the resurrection halls of mansonia in conjunction with the newly fabricated morontia form, there occurs the reassembly of the constituent factors of the personality of the mortal ascender." 113:6.6 "The Adjuster will identify you; the guardian seraphim will repersonalize you and then re-present you to the faithful Monitor of your earth days." 113:7.5 "...And they will be in waiting on the shores of Paradise when their mortal associates awaken from the last transit sleep of time into the new experiences of eternity..."
