The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and others branded the Grammy-winning vocalist a "racist" and protested in front of NFL headquarters for allowing her to perform an homage to the Black Panther Party. Speaking of the Big Apple and police terrorism, NYPD officer Pete Liang was found guilty for the 2014 killing of Akai Gurley. Liang could face up to 15 years in prison. The Gurley killing took place within weeks of the non-indictment of Michael Brown Jr.'s killer in 2014. This week Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the Department of Justice announced their plan to sue the City of Ferguson for failure to comply with federal guidelines for reforming the police department that terrorized and financially extorted black Missourians.
