"Enroll people into the story, engage them into the story so that they feel like they're a part of something greater than themselves." ~Isabelle Rizo
When you get clear on your story, you can know it internally, have it manifest externally, and align it with your online presence.
I met Isabelle in July of 2016 and signed up to work with her almost right away in the Singularity Circle, a mastermind for creative entrepreneurs dedicated to a more feminine approach to business (i.e. NOT "hustle til you die")
Isabelle has a gift for teasing out what it is you're actually offering of value to people based on your own, singular, unique story and experiences. I love her direct, no-nonsense approach and firm, but loving nudges out of the vagueness of the comfort zone. And I think you're really going to love what she has to say in Episode 026.
"If you work hard, you sacrifice everything, you stay focused on your goals, and you burn the midnight oil, you are going to be a success — I'm just going to call BS on that because it's still coming from our societal conditioning of celebrating hustle until we die. And that is not okay." ~Isabelle Rizo

"You might be a luxury brand, but we're going to talk about your poop too… we want to acknowledge that we're human and we make mistakes and failure is part of the thing and we have a shadow part of our self and a light part of our self." ~Isabelle Rizo

"…being creative all by yourself really just doesn't work. It doesn't! I mean, who are you creating for? If you're writing, it's meant to be read. If you're playing music, it's meant to be heard. If you're taking photographs, they're meant to be seen. If you're creating a business, it's meant to serve… someone." ~Andrea Klunder
OH! ITS BEEN TOO LONG since our last episode.
September FLEW by but never fear, that can only mean that a LOT has been happening over here… I started two new jobs, one of which is teaching podcasting & digital journalism to special needs high schoolers here in Chicago and THAT has been a huge challenge to wrap my creative brain around.
Find out how that's going AND how to join our creative community for support in your visions, dreams, projects and lifestyle.

"If you're really going to share the practice of yoga, especially with children who can see right through you, you need to be practicing… and the heart of yoga is this balance of effort and surrender. You have to drive forward AND trust that there's a flow and you're an integral part of the flow." ~Mira Binzen

"You don't need a makeover! If you make tiny tweaks to your life, what I like to call life edits, you can become the best version of yourself without having to destroy yourself." ~Sage Grayson
In this episode, I talk with Life Editor & Productivity Coach Sage Grayson all about how to edit your habits, routines, and mindset to balance your happiness at work and home!
Life editing is a form of coaching that follows a specific step-by-step process for cleaning up your life, much like how a book editor would edit a manuscript.
Sometimes our lives can feel like a rough draft. Our days are jumbled, there doesn't seem to be a flow, and we're not living the story of our dreams that's inside of us.
That's where life editing comes in.
