What she shares on this episodeWhen you have a vision for the following year before you it plays such an important role in pushing you to keep going and work hard to achieve all your goals. As you do this you’ll realise that the universe begins to work in your favour. What started for Ariane as just another pointer on her vision board for the new year turned to reality. TEDx was one of the things that she would have liked to have accomplished in 2017 and little did she know her yoga instructor would help take her there. The point being, all she did was take and use every opportunity that came her way and most importantly stepped out of her comfort zone to do it. One connection led to another. In the process she was able to help a number of speakers and was able to work with Gabriel Stoyanov an amazing dancer and Cee, a young singer from Geneva. Her being there also gave her the opportunity to be inspired by speakers like Liska Bernet, who pioneered the set up one of the biggest independent camps for refugees in Greece. Pascal Berard, currently pursuing his PhD in computer graphics and recently made it on the Forbes 30 under 30 Europe list. Armin Steuernagel, who started his first company at the age of 16. What is driving you today to be better at what you do than the day before? What motivates you to be the best? We are often caught up in the here and now that we don’t look at sustainability as artists. If you build your careers on a platform that is going to change in a couple of years you’re going to have nothing. The industry is changing at a faster pace than you can keep up and at the end of the day all you’re left with is your talent. What you do with what you have is contingent in giving you the credibility that you need to make it big in the industry. If you’re creative and talented don’t limit your experiences because you’ll never know how the path winds. As Denosh says, own your craft, own your performance, work on it, be diligent and keep going. Denosh’s bio speaks for itself and on this episode, she shares from her life the things that she did to get to the place she is at.

In most cases the blueprints for our lives as artists are laid in the formative years, we easily recollect that day we heard a song played or a saw someone dancing or acting and knew in that moment that was what we wanted to do for the rest of our lives. But it’s never as easy as it seems. In a world that is so competitive and fast paced we become a minority. This thought is what holds us back from doing the things we love the most. On this episode Ayanna talks about her personal experience in the world of dance, the things that she did differently to pursue her heart’s desire all out. As an artist it is imperative that you are open to possibilities because you never know where life is going to take you. It may seem like a challenge at first but allow yourself to consider the chances of it being better than you ever imagined it to be.

If we could just take a moment to look around us, we realize that it is not difficult to find someone going through a scary and difficult situation. All it takes is for us to act on our desire to extend help and do good and you’ll see that the universe works in your favor. That is exactly what happened with Chords2Cure. Moved and driven by love, they came together as a community to do what they could to benefit the victims of pediatric cancer. This movement that has started can truly be an example to people and communities all over the world. When we stand together even the tallest mountain becomes smaller. As Meredith says they had their heart strings pulled and this empowered them to act. Chords2Cure is a non-profit organization benefiting pediatric cancer research. Chords2Cure was created by a few compassionate Crossroads School students and their families when their friend, Jaxon Blumenthal (now 14 years old) was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma (liver cancer) in 2013. After listening to their story, you realize that you really don’t need much. Use what you were born with, your love, your talent and your passion to do something. It is important that you find that passion.

What she shares on this episode:
There are hundreds of people starting new businesses every day and there are over 400 songs released each day. How will your song be noticed? How will your brand stand out? How can you be seen in a saturated world? How can you get through to your fans? We put our heart and soul into our art because we are passionate about it. Time, money and energy is spent. Sometimes at the cost of our own health and wellbeing. We spend hours on end in the studio perfecting that song and it is s important that it represents who we are and the way that we want people to perceive us. When all this is done we finally put our song out there and hope someone will take notice of it. This where building a community around your art becomes an essential step in the process of your song being noticed. A lot of work needs to go in even before you release your song. You need to prepare for your launch. It’s not going to be easy and at times you’ll want to give up and wonder what went wrong. It’s time you take personal branding seriously. Your brand is your mark on people. It represents who you are and your message. Branding is provoking thoughts in others, it is challenging the status quo. The Goal of your brand is to attract fans. It is authenticity at its best. Building your brand is being more you. Capturing your essence. So how does one create his/her brand?

Bio of the Artist:
Aidan Amore is a trans-disciplinary artist active as an actor, performer and plastic artist in France, Switzerland and the United States. Issues related to dynamics between the sexes, to gender and to sexuality mostly fuel Amore’s practice in search of means to liberate oneself from the conditionings inherited through family, society and culture, thus helping one to reconnect with a sense of True Self and embrace the full experience of what it means to be human. The purpose of such a practice is based on Amore’s strong belief that it is through deconditioning that the individual can access higher levels of consciousness, in which tolerance, respect and preservation of human diversity will serve as blueprints in the building of healthier and more harmonious communities.
What Ariane shares on this episode: Before starting anything, it is important to understand why we want to do it, what we want to do and who we want to do it for. The outcome of what you are doing doesn’t matter, it is the process that holds value. Self – doubt and perfectionism are the two things that come in the way of us realizing our visions and like most of us, were some of Aidan’s concerns with the production of his first feature film as well. Ariane talks about the importance of commitment and consistency and not to let this self-doubt drive you but to keep to the plan. Questions we ask ourselves are ‘Is this really what I should be doing? Do I have the time for it? It is important to acknowledge these aspects but always remember not to let them control you. In this coaching session Ariane talks about some important road blocks that artists face along the road to success. Ariane highlights some practical tips to keep in mind while getting started and staying committed. Ariane guides Aidan through some key elements that he should keep in mind as he starts out on his artistic goal for this year.
