In 1873 there was a man named Horatio Spafford and after the tragic death of his four children and two years after his four year old son’s death, he took pen to paper and wrote the words, “When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll, whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, it is well, it is well, with my soul. Horatio Spafford deeply understood that no matter his lot in life, the greatest dilemma with his soul was solved by the shedding of Jesus’ blood on the cross.
