The Cryptid Huntress

Early settlers of Kimble County in Texas believed that an old Native American shaman, one of the last survivors of his tribe, could change into a large wolf. As revenge or punishment towards the white settlers who slaughtered his tribe and stole his people’s land, at night the shaman would turn himself into a giant wolf-like creature and roam the countryside at night killing livestock and any unfortunate settler that happened to be outside after dark. Some speculate that this creature could be a Bigfoot, a black bear or panther. This creature is known as the Beast of Bear Creek.

In 1901, a young girl was abducted and carried away into what she described as the "Bear King's" lair. She escaped, and a hunting party of men tracked the animal, confronted it, and eventually shot and killed it, but not before the Bear King beat its chest and "screamed like a panther." This occurred near Marble Falls, Texas. On this episode, Jessica discusses two coordinate remote viewing targets, the Beast of Bear Creek and the Bear King of Marble Falls, with Author E.D. There is a demon dog that haunts a small town of Valle Cruses, North Carolina, near Boone. St. John’s Episcopal Church has a cemetery that is haunted by a hulking black dog, the size of a man, with glowing red eyes. Some students from a nearby college were driving past the cemetery one night, when a shadowy figure jumped in front of their vehicle, scaring the students. They sped off, and to their horror, looked back and saw the canine beast following them and pacing the vehicle, even at high speeds.

The Black Dog is a well-known staple of Appalachian folklore. It is a spirit of death, and when one sees it, they are marked for death. Entire bloodlines become cursed when one encounters it, and you should never look it directly in the eyes. Legend says, they’re connected to lightning storms and the crossroads. Tales of the Snarly Yow, a dog-like beast that walks on two feet like a human, began in the 1700’s with German immigrants in the Appalachians, and Dogman sightings persist in present day Appalachia. Jessica encountered two such beasts in northeast Alabama recently. Did she encounter a pair of Appalachian Devil Dogs or Dogmen? On this episode, Jessica goes "On the Hunt with Mark & Rebecca Green! The Greens are from the southernmost point of the Appalachian Mountains in Central Alabama. Mark had a sighting in 2007 in Lowndes County, AL, which turned into a life of research and investigations into the Bigfoot phenomenon. Now, with eyes wide open to the subject, he slowly discovered that there was a group inhabiting his hunting lease called "Creepy Mountain."

In 2022, Mark and his wife, Rebecca, started a YouTube channel, Cedar Creek Bottoms Farmstead. The channel is all about homesteading, farming, and discussing Bigfoot experiences in Alabama and across the United States.

Some believe that natural land masses, trees, and formations that we see today in forests, parks, and gardens, are not trees, mountains, or mesas, but they are something much larger than our eyes haven’t been trained to see. Did our planet’s ancient trees once extended up to 40 miles high into the sky with trunks 2 miles across? Many believe so, and many also believe that some mountains ranges and rocks are actually petrified giant humans and animals.

It appears, in cases across the planet, that petrification took place on giant humans and huge animals with flesh and blood without decomposing them and instead turning them into solid rock (limestone). Native American legends of Florida and South Carolina include encounters with the Inzignanin, fishlike humanoids that were five feet in height, covered in scales, and had inflexible tails. They were said to inhabit Chicora, which is modern-day South Carolina. These Fish-men were believed to consume only raw fish and are said to have died out when the areas fish population depleted.

They were described in old texts as “men with tails a meter long and as thick as a man's arm. This tail was not movable like those of the quadrupeds but formed one mass as we see is the case with fish and crocodiles and was as hard as a bone. When these men wished to sit down, they had consequently to have a seat with an open bottom; and if there was none, they had to dig a hole more than a cubit deep to hold their tails and allow them to rest. Their fingers were as broad as they were long, and their skin was rough, almost scaly. They ate nothing but raw fish, and when the fish gave out they all perished, leaving no descendants…

For decades, Bigfoot, werewolf and Dogman sightings have been reported in Paulding County, located in northwest Georgia, via official eyewitness accounts from locals and calls into the local 911 center. Of those sightings, there are over two dozen reports of a bipedal wolf-like beast standing over seven feet tall, with dark gray fur and blazing red eyes in the county. Sightings of the creature have been consistent in its description.

Jessica was tasked with two coordinate remote viewing targets from eyewitness encounters, including the “North Paulding Werewolf” and a report from 2007 involving a family who saw a 9-10’ tall bi-pedal wolf-like creature on the way to dinner one evening. This creature just happened to be a couple of miles from Jessica’s family’s farm, and she has a first-hand report from her family that she discusses here, along with accounts from a former 911 dispatcher in the county.
