Rachel Dolezal has brought a term to her pretending to be black controversy which caused her to have to resign her new position as leader of the NAACP in Spokane Washington. She has used the term Trans-Racial and speaks about her identity in similar terms as a transgender person does. She speaks of at the age of 5 years old coloring with the brown crayon instead of the peach crayon. She says that she "identifies" herself as a black woman and not a white woman.
So what is trans-racial? Is this a real term? Or did Ms. Dolezal just make it up?Can a Black person identify with being white even if they are very dark skinned?What are your thoughts on Rachel Dolezal?
