Bruce Longo believed he was God. He was excommunicated from the Mormon Church and gathered a small group of followers. He took their money as he lived well and they had nothing but still, they believed. Bruce Longo changed his name to Immanuel David. His wife became Rachel David. Their seven children were totally isolated as they lived in a hotel room with their parents. The FBI began to look into this small cult and discovered that it had never paid taxes of any kind. Immanuel David then realized he was in a bad situation with no way out and so he took the coward's route, leaving his wife and children behind. Rachel was so distraught that she did something so horrible it's hard to believe it really happened
