Hasief Ardiasyah, a former writer for Rolling Stone Indonesia, is a hardcore Weezer fan who recently had the experience of a lifetime after the band stopped by Jakarta and Bali in Indonesia. We chat all about him helping Weezer's lead singer learn how to properly sing an Indonesian pop cover, going out to dinner with two members of the band, and his outlook on the Weezer discography. It was really nice to chat with Hasief and I hope you enjoy listening to us get Weezy.

COTOR (Check out this Obscure Record) this week is about the album “Agterplass” by the Indonesian rock band The Adams. It's a wonderfully produced collection of catchy, crunchy guitar and synth-laden tunes.

Hasief has written the lyrics for a number of The Adams songs as well as for other musical artists. Here's a list of some of his co-writing credits:

And the drummer of ”Coffee Music” and every other Dermot release but one, Peter Anderson! I chat with them about the loss of our mutual friend and collaborator Ed Ackerson, Boston Terriers, new home ownership, and 2 different fun facts about the vocal production and drum production on this album that set it apart from anything else I've done.

We talk about creative expectations, how she came up with the cover art for the album, and a hilarious Halloween mishap where our costumes seemed... disturbingly coordinated.
