The Daily Devotional

In Galatians 4:6–7 Paul reminds us that through Jesus, we are no longer slaves, but beloved children of God who can call Him “Abba, Father.” Pastor Derek explores how the Holy Spirit brings us into this close relationship with God and invites us to experience the joy of belonging to Him. God doesn’t just want to work through your life—He wants you to know and enjoy Him as your Father.

In Romans 8:14–16 Paul reminds us that the Holy Spirit brings us into God’s family, assuring us that we are His children and can call Him “Abba, Father.” Pastor Derek looks at how this changes the way we approach God—not as slaves trying to earn His approval, but as beloved children invited into a close, personal relationship with Him. We don’t have to live in fear or strive to prove ourselves; through the Spirit, we can learn to live in the freedom and intimacy of knowing we belong to our Father.

Pastor Derek looks at why the Holy Spirit is more than a source of power—He is a person to know, love, and enjoy. We’re invited to move beyond simply seeking what the Spirit can do for us and discover the joy of a daily relationship with His presence.
