Not only IS Jesus the Word, but He also demonstrated a relationship with Scriptures that leaves us an example to follow as we seek to follow Him.

As Jesus embarked into His ministry and right after His baptism, we was led into the wilderness for 40 days. How did Jesus confront the temptations He faced?

When Jesus was about the enter His public ministry, he was baptized by John. Why was Jesus baptized?  What was revealed about Jesus at His baptism?

Jesus spent 30 years preparing to fulfill His mission.  As He chose His initial followers, He will spend about 1.5 years building and modeling foundations upon which ministry was/is to be built.

While there is little in the Gospels about Jesus when  between ages 12 and 30, there are some Old Testament passages that give us a few clues.  Jesus can relate with us even in the awkward years of adolescence and young adulthood. 

While little is said about Jesus' life from boyhood to adulthood, there is enough said to raise plenty of questions.

More is said about Jesus in the Flesh. Today, we will look at even more passages that connect His humanity to ours. 

Today, we consider what it meant for God to come in flesh.  What did Jesus experience for the first time?  How does that make Him more able to relate with us?

We have laid the background for our study, and today we embark on that study, looking at Jesus' humanity from conception to circumcision. It is so very significant that Jesus took on flesh and became one of us. Let's learn.
