South Africa's Unemployment rate has increased to 27,2% in the second quarter from 26.6% in the first quarter, according to the latest unemployment numbers announced by Statistics South Africa. Manufacturing lost 105,000 jobs; community, social and personal services lost 93,000; and trade lost 57,000 jobs. This morning on our Youth Employment feature we speak to Sabelo Myeni, the Head of Mindworx Academy. Sabelo has been awarded the 2018 Standard Bank Rising Star Award, for his work in developing inexperienced graduates into poised and appropriately skilled professionals who are capable of performing entry-level jobs and in so doing gaining a foot into the formal sector of the South African economy.
