The Black Imbizo is a movement based on love and the restoration of African dignity. The initiative aims to address and redress the injustices that black people have been going through for over 400 years and continue to suffer the latter in present day colonialism. He says leaders that eschew these traits are easily discernible and their behaviour adds authority and endurance to their legacies. Professor Stremlau adds that Obama's most lasting legacy may be his leadership traits, which were rooted in a commitment to sustainable democracy, no less than his hero, the late president, Nelson Mandela.
