The #MeToo movement has been a powerful force in helping to raise awareness of sexual harassment, especially in the workplace. It has provided a platform for those affected to speak openly about their ordeals. So far, most of the people who have come forward have been women. Does that mean that very few men are victims of sexual harassment? Why do some men suffer in silence?

Pit toilets in South African schools – what is it going to take to get rid of them? It was revealed late last year that about 4624 schools in the country have pit toilets. These figures were revealed by Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga in a written parliamentary reply.

The Anti-Racism Network South Africa (ARNSA) will this evening host a lecture on the Roots of Racism by Professor Achille Mbembe, author of the award winning book, 'Critique of Black Reason'. The lecture forms part of ARNSA's Anti-Racism Week programme which runs from March 14-21 annually. ARNSA is a network of some 80 organisations and is spearheaded by the Ahmed Kathrada and Nelson Mandela Foundations.
