Indigenous knowledge and belief systems vs modern science: Does indigenous knowledge represent the people’s science?

Last week Marvel's upcoming superhero action film Black Panther, starring South African actors John Kani, Atandwa Kani and Connie Chiume made history. It smashed pre-booking records as the fastest-selling Marvel film ever. The Black Panther movie is being seen as a symbol of hope for Black communities all over the world. This because most black superheroes’ aren’t much known or don’t become commercially successful. Think Superman / Clark Kent, Spiderman/ Peter parker. We now find out why is it important for black kids to see someone look like them being depicted superheroes?

Andile Dube, a former property manager, gave up a corporate job to launch Young Hustla, an entrepreneurship comic book series.
