It’s important to remember that when the Lord alters the laws he has given men, he does this through the channels of authority he has already established.

Pioneer Day is coming up on Wednesday. As we remember pioneers, let's remember their example by seeking joy when we feel discouraged, praising God even in times of hardship, and taking courage.

Becoming less casual in our relationships and working hard to communicate with the Divine allows us to draw nearer to both Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We find more peace.

Because Christ has already paid the ultimate price, we can be at peace. He can heal every wound and strengthen every weakness.

We don’t have to be great or powerful to touch the lives of those around us. No status or calling is required for us to be disciples of Christ and share His love for God’s children.

Saul seemed like an unlikely candidate for conversion, but he went on to preach the gospel and bring countless others to a knowledge of the truth.

As we gather knowledge and gain intelligence, we gain light and truth. The things we know act as an iron rod that we can cling to in these mists of darkness. They will light our path and help us press forward with faith.

The Savior may not take away our burdens, but as we allow Him to help us carry them, he will make them lighter to bear because His yoke is easy, and his burden is light.

When we focus on things that matter most and seek earnestly to follow the counsel of prophets and apostles, we will draw nearer to the Lord. As Paul explained, “we should serve [the law] in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.”

The mercy and pardon offered by Jesus Christ through His atonement is sweeter than anything else we can experience. How will we respond to his soft and tender plea to come home to righteousness?
