I Feel My Savior's Love

Even when we feel fatherless and alone, even if we feel distrustful of our fathers, or wounded, or abandoned, we always have advocates in our Heavenly Father, and in his son, Jesus Christ.

We can shake off the chains that keep us bound. We can arise from the dust, and put on the armor of righteousness. We can be like the Savior.

As women, we need to support our husbands. Let’s seek their counsel, seek to bring them joy, pray to have our hearts attuned, and make sure we are devoting our time and energy in places that we want our hearts to be.

Men and fathers are sometimes undervalued in our society. They’re sometimes seen as “babysitters” rather than “real parents.” But fathers are invaluable to their children and their families, and fatherhood is a divine calling.

Fathers are important teachers of their children. They set an example of righteous manhood for their sons, and they show their daughters the qualities that they should look for in a husband.

Our lives here on earth are like the diameter of a circle. It’s easy to measure their duration. They are finite. We are born, we live, and then we die. But our eternal lives are more like the circle itself.

When we focus on things that matter most and seek earnestly to follow the counsel of prophets and apostles, we will draw nearer to the Lord. As Paul explained, “we should serve [the law] in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.”
