Today's Promise: Psalm 23:6

In this last verse Psalm 23, David declares that God's goodness and mercy have always been with him.

As David looked back over his life, he saw that even though he had been unfaithful, God had always been faithful. God had poured His goodness and unfailing love on him throughout His life.

Just as David looked back on his life and saw the goodness of God, you will remember God's blessing to you over the years. As you do, you will find your faith strengthen, and your hope renewed.

Today's Promise: Isaiah 43:2

Wouldn't it be great if when you became a Christian, all your problems, fears, and worries disappeared? Unfortunately, God never promised a problem-free Christian life. In fact, this promise assumes you will face times of deep water and fire.

In this promise, water represents being overwhelmed. Sometimes the problems of life can come over you like a giant wave.

The fire represents destruction. There will come times when you will suffer loss.

God is not surprised by the floods or fires that come into your life. You will pass through them because your God is with you.

God's Word is filled with success principles. As you obey His Word, He will bless you and bring about your success.

God gives Joshua a three-step process for achieving success and prosperity. Although these steps are simple, they will take a lifetime to accomplish.

1. Keep God's Word Close to Your Heart.

2. Meditate on God's Word.

3. Obey God's Word.

As you discover, meditate, and obey God's Word, the Holy Spirit is able to lead you through your day. The principles of God's Word will become part of your thinking and living.

Today's Promise: Galatians 5:1

Jesus set you free. You are no longer a slave to your sin, selfishness, fear, or past failures. As a free person in Jesus Christ, never allow anyone to put you back under the law of bondage.

Unfortunately, even though we live in a free country, many people still live in bondage to their hearts. They live as slaves to their fear, failures, and desires.

Christ has empowered and freed you to live not by a set of rules but in a loving relationship with Jesus.
