The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son. - Deuteronomy 1:30-31
The Children of God faced a crisis of faith as they stood on the edge of the Promised Land. The land was indeed fertile, fruitful, and good, but it was filled with giants. Would they face their enemy with trust and obedience to God, or would they turn in fear?
I love that first phrase, "your God who goes before you," it is said with such confidence. Sometimes I forget that God is going before me, that He is clearing the way for me.
Imagine going through your day with the King of Glory clearing your path like the secret service goes before the President.
Have you ever faced a giant? Maybe not a physical one, but giants come in many forms. They can be financial, relational, or even personal. Giants are intimidating, threatening, and frightening. Maybe you are facing a giant today.
