The Christian life is a Joy-filled life. Jesus was the most joyful person to ever walk on the earth. He destroyed the burdensome teachings of the religious leaders and invited His followers into joy relationship with God. It was His overflowing joy that attracted people to Him.

Today, climb up to all God has called you too. Don't worry about falling or failure because God is going to secure your footing and keep you from falling.

It's a little hard to wrap your head around this, but the God of the universe chose you. He spoke to your heart and drew you to Himself. Before the world even began, God chose you to be his child.

In this chapter, King David reviews how faithful and good God has been to him. David declares that God is His lamp. A burning lamp was the symbol of lasting happiness and strength. The lamp provided consistent light. It's was not a one-time fire, but a constant source of illumination. When God is your lamp, His goodness brings happiness and strength throughout your life.
