Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.
Here are the promises we covered this week.
Isaiah 54:10 – God's Love for You Never Changes
2 Peter 1:4 – God's Gives You Great and Precious Promises
Jeremiah 17:7-8 – Trusting the Lord Brings Blessings
1 Peter 5:6 – Jesus Exalts the Humble
Matthew 6:7-8 – God Knows Your Needs Even Before You Ask.
Today's Promise: Matthew 6:7-8
In the middle of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus took the time to teach us about prayer.
Here's the secret to effective prayer - God already knows what you need before you ask.
Here are two keys to effective prayer.
1. Prayers should be simple.
2. Prayers should be sincere.
God knows and is sympathetic toward your needs. As a good father, He wants to give good things to you, His child. When you come to Him, talk to Him like He is your Father. Tell Him where it hurts or what the need is, then believe that He has heard you.
Today's Promise: 1 Peter 5:6
We live in a promote yourself, put your best foot forward world.
God's economy works differently. God says if you want to be promoted, humble yourself before God.
God honors those who humble themselves before Him. When you humble yourself, you confess your need for Him. Humbling yourself before God is confessing that He is God and you aren't.
When you humble yourself before God, you release God's incredible power to work in your life.
God exalts the humble because they put their complete faith and trust in Him.
Today's Promise: Jeremiah 17:7-8
When you trust in the Lord, amazing things happen. You trust in the Lord by placing your complete confidence in the Lord.
The person who trusts in the Lord;
- Has an unending source of life-giving spiritual water.
- Is not afraid in the heat of the moment.
- When the difficult days turn into difficult times, the person who trusts in the Lord never loses hope.
- Will bear spiritual fruit. The fruit of the spirit is the result of trusting in the Lord.
Today's Promise: 2 Peter 1:4
The Bible contains over 3,000 promises. Every promise is God's commitment to you. Every command of God has a connecting promise because He always empowers you to accomplish His will.
In this verse, Peter lists two purposes.
First, God's promises are given for us to participate in His divine nature.
Second, God's promises are given to escape the corruption of the world.
Most Christians have no idea of the wonderful promises God has laid out in the scriptures.
As you claim the promises of God, your faith will grow.
Today's Promise: Isaiah 54:10
There is only one thing you can count on in this world, and it's not death and taxes. When your whole world is shaken, and everything seems to be falling apart, you can always count on God's love.
Lovingkindness is God's commitment love for you. His lovingkindness is his love for you that goes beyond your response.
When your world falls apart or you experience a major failure, it's easy to feel like no one loves you.
God's love will always be there. God's love never changes, never fails, and never ends.

Here are the promises we covered this week.
Isaiah 30:21 - God Guides Your Steps.
Exodus 23:29-30 – Victory Comes One Step at a Time.
Psalm 34:18 - God Draws Close to the Brokenhearted.
James 1:2-3 You Can Rejoice in Your Trial.
Proverbs 1:23 – God's Spirit and His Word.
Today's Promise: Proverbs 1:23
There are two powerful promises packed into this one verse. Both promises are related because God's Spirit and His Word always go together.
Pentecost fulfilled this Old Testament promise. The Holy Spirit would no longer rest on a person for a while. Now the Spirit would indwell those who put their faith in Christ.
The second part of this promise focuses on God's Word. God will make His words known to you.
When the Holy Spirit reveals and empowers the Word of God, it becomes a powerful force working in your life.
Today's Promise: James 1:2-3
The book of James tells us to Rejoice! For most of us, that makes very little sense.
How in the world can you rejoice when you face trials and difficulties? No one looks down at a flat tire and says, "Praise God, I have a flat tire!"
Instead of looking at your difficulties as a punishment or a curse, James invites you to see them as opportunities for God to work.
In every trial, you can rejoice because God uses every difficulty to strengthen your faith and make you like Jesus.
Today's Promise: Psalm 34:18
When life throws you a knockout punch, God is there to draw you near. When you feel crushed by the things you have experienced, God will save you from hopelessness.
Being brokenhearted is more than having your high school boyfriend break up with you. The brokenhearted are those who have suffered a hurt of such magnitude that it has left them debilitated.
If you are brokenhearted today, Jesus will minister peace and healing to your soul.
