Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.
Here are the promises we covered this week.
Philippians 1:6 – God Will Finish What He Started in You.
John 5:24 – Jesus Promised Eternal Life.
1 Peter 3:12 – God Eagerly Listens to My Prayers.
John 8:36 – Jesus Will Set You Free.
1 Peter 5:10 - God Will Use Your Suffering.
Today's Promise: 1 Peter 5:10
No one wants to suffer, but suffering is often part of life.
When an unbeliever goes through suffering, it is without hope. As Christians, we know our suffering is perfecting us. We can rejoice in our suffering because we know God is using it for good in our lives.
God doesn't bring you suffering, but He does allow suffering. He uses suffering in your life to perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
Today's Promise: John 8:36
Jesus set you free. And if Jesus set you free, how can you ever walk in bondage again?
Jesus has set you free in three ways:
He has set you free from your sin.
He has set you free from your past.
He has set you to be free of all that He has called you to be.
Christ set you free to be the person God calls you to be. You are no longer held back by the chains that once kept you down. You are free!
Today's Promise: 1 Peter 3:12
It's easy to get discouraged when it comes to prayer.
As a child of God, you can rest assured that your loving Heavenly Father is attentive to your prayers. He is actively listening to your call.
God has His ear attentive to your voice. His ear is tuned to your call. You never have to wonder if God hears your prayer. He is eager and willing to hear and answer your prayer.
Today's Promise: John 5:24
The greatest promise in the Bible is the promise of Eternal Life.
Jesus came to give eternal life to those who would place their trust in Him. Eternal life is the final fulfillment of His promise of abundant life.
Every person is separated from God because of their sin.
Christ's death on the cross brings about forgiveness of your sin and restoration of your relationship with God. His death made way for you to have eternal life.
Today's Promise: Philippians 1:6
What God began in your life, He will complete. It's easy to think the Christian life is all about what I need to do. However, the Christian life is really about God working in me.
If you looked back on your walk with God, I'm sure you would see how God has worked in your life, time and time again.
The work God is doing in you is a good work. You may not understand or even believe it, but every day God is working in your life, to make you more like Jesus.
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.
Here are the promises we covered this week.
2 Corinthians 5:17 – You are New in Christ.
Deuteronomy 1:30-31 – God Goes Before You.
Psalm 30:5 – Joy Comes in the morning.
John 15:15 – Jesus Calls You His Friend.
Isaiah 26:3 – Jesus Gives Perfect Peace.
Today's Promise: Isaiah 26:3
God promises you perfect peace, supernatural peace that goes beyond your situation. Peace is hard to come by these days. Spending just a few minutes online or watching the news can have you feeling like the world is falling apart.
But as you put your trust in the Lord, God will fill you with His perfect Peace.
Perfect peace is not about what we are going through or our situation. It is about the confidence that God is in control.
Today's Promise: John 15:15
So many Christians approach God with fear, guilt, and shame because they don't understand who they are in Christ.
If you see yourself as a friend of Christ, you'll want to spend time with Him. You'll know you are always welcome in His presence.
As a friend of Jesus, you enter boldly into His presence and know you are always welcome.
Jesus invites you into a life-giving friendship with Him. There is no need to live in fear or shame when Jesus is your friend.
Today's Promise: Psalm 30:5
You may be going through a season of sorrow, pain, or uncertainty, and you think the dark night of your soul may never end. In the middle of your difficulty, it's easy to get so focused on the problem that you think things will never change.
Weeping lasts for the night but not forever. It is just for a season, not a lifetime. We all face problems, but they don't last.
The only thing that lasts forever is God's love. As a child of God, you have God's favor, which lasts a lifetime. His love brings a new day and joy in the morning.
