Today's Promise: Psalm 103:11
Few things are more humbling than stepping out on a clear night and gazing at a star-filled sky. The incredible wonder of the universe reminds us of just how great our Creator is and how insignificant we are.
Yet, as small, and insignificant as we are, God has chosen to love us. God pours out His commitment love on each of us.
God's love for you is as high as the stars above the earth. His love for you reaches beyond the ends of creation.
In these difficult times, God is pouring his incredible, commitment love out on you today.
Today's Promise: Psalm 55:22
Sometimes, you just never know what life is going to bring you. None of us could have imagined all the changes, problems, and concerns 2020 would bring.
In these uncertain and trying times, God gives us a promise. When we trust Him, He will strengthen us and keep us secure.
Instead of carrying all your worry, fear, and uncertainty, you can throw them all over to the Lord.
Every day, you have a choice: you can carry your burdens or throw them into the Lord's hands. Every day, you have a choice: you can carry your burdens or throw them into the Lord's hands.
Today's Promise: Romans 14:8
Most of us spend a lifetime trying to discover who we really are.
Knowing who you are is important, but knowing who you are is even more important. Life changes when you understand you are the Lord's.
As a born-again follower of Christ, God is your Father, and you are His child.
When you are the Lord's, there is no fear of death.
When you are the Lord's, there's no fear of life because, as a child of the Living God, you know He is watching over you, guiding you, and providing all you need.
Today's Promise: Proverbs 18:10
In the Old Testament, strong, tall towers provided protection and safety. Anytime there was danger, the people of the city could run to the tower to find refuge.
Jesus is your strong tower. When you feel under attack, unsafe, or afraid, you can run to Him.
When Jesus is your strong tower, you have a place of refuge and security. He will direct and watch over you.
When you feel like you just can't take it any longer, run to the strong tower of the Lord. He will protect and empower you.
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.
Here are the promises we covered this week.
John 17:13 - Jesus Fills You With Joy.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 - You Have the Peace of God.
Philippians 4:6 - The Cure for Worry.
Galatians 2:20 - Christ Lives in You.
Joshua 1:9 - You are Strong and Courageous.
Today's Promise: Joshua 1:9
Joshua had just taken the place of Moses as the leader of the Children of God. They had entered the promised land and were facing multiple enemies that were stronger and mightier than them. I'm sure Joshua must have thought, "What have I gotten myself into?"
Three times in verses six through nine, God tells Joshua to be strong and take courage. God says the same thing to you and me today.
When you see all the fear and worry around you, remember God is with you.
Today's Promise: Galatians 2:20
When you came to Christ, God did more than forgive your sins and provide heaven when you die. Those two things are incredible on their own, but just like God, He took it to the next level.
When you came to Christ, Jesus came into your heart; He took up residence in you.
This is more than just symbolic or metaphorical; Jesus literally took up residence in you.
Since Christ is in you, He leads you. If you listen, you will be amazed at how God leads you throughout your day.
Today's Promise: Philippians 4:6
The Christian's secret power is prayer. Prayer can be directed across the country and arrive in an instant. Prayer brings the glory of heaven into the mundane of life.
When you pray, you step into heaven and bring your request to the King of Glory.
Unfortunately, we fail to use this secret weapon God has given us. Instead, we choose to worry, fret, and be anxious about what we're are going through.
Prayer is the cure for worry. If you want to overcome worry and anxiety, then pray about everything.
Today's Promise: 2 Thessalonians 3:16
More than ever, we need the peace of God. Our screens bombard us with fearful messages about one disaster after another. We aren't sure who we can trust and what we should do next.
Jesus is the Lord of Peace. As the Lord of peace, He is the source of peace in our lives.
As you give your life to him, the Lord of Peace will fill you with His peace. It is a supernatural peace that goes beyond your understanding.
Today's Promise: John 17:13
In the last few hours before His crucifixion, Jesus prayed for His disciples. As followers of Christ, we can claim that prayer today.
Jesus prayed that God would protect those who followed Him and that they would receive the full measure of His joy.
Jesus was a joyful man. He was not the pious, sorrowful person as depicted in so many films—his joyful countenance attracted individuals and crowds.
Jesus' prayer for you today is that you live in the same measure of Joy that He did as He walked on this earth. Imagine living in the joy of Jesus every day.
