Great episode with James Bedford who is the director of sport at Kings Al Barsha school in Dubai. 

I wanted to dig a little bit deeper into the sport, physical education and exercise in schools and what is being done to promote more physical activity and a healthier lifestyle. 

James talks about some of the important factors that need to be considered for children and teenagers when providing sport and physical education in schools, such as enjoyment, progression pathways and the importance of a role model were just some of the topics we talked about on in this episode. 

This is also a great podcast to listen to if you are a parent and sometimes feel confused about the differences between school sports and extracurricular sports and what is perhaps best suited for your child. 

Having suffered from an injury myself for such a long time it was great to hear from John Mills other approaches to recovery and getting back to full fitness other than the practical treatment. I must admit I was always a little bit sceptical with this area of potentially healing yourself but John made some very good points that really opened my eyes particularly as he was able to back it up with references and research examples.

John is hugely experienced in the fitness industry and has a lot of knowledge that has come from not only education but also what he has seen work for clients over his years of personal training.

The first podcast I did with Georgie on emotional eating and dealing with cravings was very popular, which is why I invited her back to share her thoughts on something I feel is a huge problem in the fitness world which is 'crash diets'.

We have very similar beliefs on this subject however Georgie is not afraid to get into the real nitty-gritty of crash diets and tells us what is really happening after you've lost 10lbs in a week on the latest 'detox' diet.

Great episode with Andy Harper from Iconic fitness. I have been meeting up and sharing ideas with Andy for almost 5 years now and after speaking with him I always feel super motivated. 

Andy understands the general population and what they really want. Yes, we want to improve our overall health, fitness, confidence and the way we look but we are not always willing to make the sacrifices laid out by other fitness professionals and cut out the things that we really enjoy.

I had an epic conversation with Grant Goes from Find Fit people about finding an epic training environment.

A lot of the time we put an emphasis on the type of style of training we are doing rather than looking at the external factors that can really make a difference between you reaching and not reaching your goal.

We talk about all the different training options out there, what you should be looking for in a gym, coach or class and more importantly, what should you avoid.

If your current gym routine doesn't inspire, excite or get the results you want, then it might be time to look at other options.

Had an awesome chat with a good friend and fellow fitness professional Olu Femi. The guy is in some serious shape so if you are a big believer in a coach that practicing what they preach then you will definitely listen to him.

We wanted to use this podcast to clear up some typical stereotypes surrounding fat loss such as cardio being the only option or weights make you bulky and talk about the things that really help to burn that extra fat.

Taking the first steps working towards your health and fitness goal can be seriously daunting, particularly if you don't feel comfortable with your body image or current fitness level. 

This is a huge barrier for many people and is usually the thing that stops people even getting started. In this podcast, I want to speak about what you should be focusing on when you are first getting started. Trust me it's not all about Instagram influencers, protein shakes, diets and six packs.

If you can muster up the motivation to get started and stay consistent then you can reap the rewards and progress as you go. Just remember that long term sustainable results to both your body and mind don't happen overnight but you can get there!!

You have a gym membership that you don't actually use. You have all the latest fitness apps that promise to get you in shape but you don't actually do them. You have hired a Personal Trainer but not getting the results you wanted. You have the latest fitness watch or heart rate monitor to count your steps and motivate you but it doesn't. Sounds like a lot of money you've wasted!

The point I am trying to make in this podcast is if you are someone who is continuously buying into the latest fitness program or diet and failing, then it might be worth taking a back step and looking at your deeper reason for wanting to change in the first place. That way you may actually make progress and stop wasting your money.
