Splunk (SPLK) shares fell almost 9% at $112.74 as of 11:23am PST Thursday. Its Q1 earnings released on Wednesday missed the estimates. Non-GAAP Earning per shares was -91 cents versus -70 cents, widened from 56 cents loss in the same quarter last year. The revenue was $502.1 million, bettern than the estimate of $492.7 million.

Nvidia (NVDA) stock prices are up more than 2% while Nasdaq is down 0.62% as of 11:50AM PST on Thursday. This comes after Nvidia's CEO expressed his confidence in the acquistion deal of ARM in a media briefing from Computex in Taiwan yesterday.

Moderna, Inc. has begun a rolling submission to the FDA for a biologics license application (BLA) seeking approval/licensure of their COVID-19 vaccine, mRNA-1273, in adults. To support the BLA, the business will continue to submit data from ongoing clinical and additional research. A prospective clearance would allow Moderna to continue selling the vaccine even after the emergency circumstance has passed.Moderna stock prices are up more than 4 percent at $199.54 as of 12PM today.

On Thursday, Alphabet Inc's self-driving subsidiary Waymo announced a partnership with Google Maps to allow customers to book completely autonomous ride-hailing services through the app.

Cloudera CLDR announced first-quarter fiscal 2022 adjusted profits of 12 cents per share, which were 50% higher than the Consensus Estimate.

Apple is rumored to be working on two new MacBook Pro models, one 14-inch and one 16-inch. Last year, the company announced that it was abandoning Intel processors in favor of its own. A variant of Apple's new CPUs will very certainly be included in the chips. Upcoming Chinese regulatory filings appear to be connected to the new 16-inch PC. According to Macrumors, who obtained the docs, the next computer might be available by summer. The documents provide details on its battery life, which is the same size as the current one on the 16-inch computer.

Nutanix NTNX reported a 41-cent-per-share adjusted loss in the third quarter of fiscal 2021 after market close on Wednesday, better than the concencus esimates of loss of 47 cents. Revenues climbed by 8% year on year to $344.5 million, above the expected figure of $336.6 million. 660 new customers were gained during the fiscal third quarter, increasing the total number of consumers to 19,430. The switch to a subscription-based business model resulted in a decrease in the average contract period to 3.3 years from 3.4 years.

Several tech companies (Nvidia, Workday, Okta, Snowflake, PureStorage) reported their last quarter results after market closed yesterday. They all beat expectations. However, most of their stock prices drop today. As of 9:35 AM PST, Nvidia is down 0.84%, workday down 2.36%, Okta down almost 11%, Purestorage down 0.42%, only Snowflake is up 1.64%. NVIDIA Corporation NVDA reported non-GAAP earnings of $3.66 per share in the first quarter of fiscal 2022, exceeding the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The reported amount increased by 103 percent year over year and 18 percent sequentially. During the quarter, the company's Gaming, Data Center, and Professional Visualization markets all saw record revenue. Data Center revenue (36 percent of total revenue) increased 79 percent year over year and 8 percent from the prior quarter to $2.05 billion. The year-on-year increase was primarily driven by revenue from the Mellanix acquisition, as well as robust chip demand from hyperscale and major consumer Internet users.

OEM and Other revenues (5% of total sales) increased 137 percent year on year and 114 percent sequentially to $327 million. Total long-term debt (including current maturities) stood at $5.96 billion as of May 2, 2021, remaining unchanged from the previous quarter, which concluded on January 31, 2021. The expected non-GAAP operating expenditures are $1.26 billion. NVIDIA predicts $6.3 billion in sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2022.
